Which type of writers are welcome?
Any kind of writer may join our group. We have members who are working on screenplays, poems, novels, short stories, childrens' books and so forth.
Where are we located?
We are based in Salt Lake City Utah, and meet weekly at a local Library. Our members are spread all over the state, however, so some of our work review is done online. The bulk of our membership live in and around Salt Lake, yet that is not a requirement to be a part of the group.
What is the purpose of our group?
- Help Authors become better writers.
- Help Authors know what it takes to have their works published and be successful
- Help Authors prepare and refine their work so that it is ready to be shown to a Literary Agent or Publisher.
What do our Members do?
Our members work independently on various projects (screenplays, Novels, poems, etc.) and bring 5 copies of small samples of their work to each meeting. These samples are taken home by other members who review them and return them to the authors the next week. At the meetings, we vote on minor items of business, prepare and share brief tips on writing, and briefly update the group on the progress of each of our projects.
